Aiden's 1st Easter!!

Your 1st Easter was really exciting for mommy. Christmas you were still to little to know what was going on, but yesterday you seemed to enjoy yourself. We went to grandma Splain's. And, of course, Pappy Dave got you another toy!! We'll be going to Grandma & Grandpa Mummau's next weekend.

1st Trip to the ER!!!

Before you panic...you were fine...mommy's just a little over-protective yet!

Saturday, 3/15, You and I, Heidi and Cassy, Emma, Carter and Nathan, all went to an Easter Egg hunt. We met up w/ Andrew, Madison and Lizzy so you guys could get your picture taken w/ the Easter Bunny. I don't know if you got sick there or if you had it before that, but Sat at about 6 pm you starting vomitting and you weren't stopping. Mommy called the nurse and they said to give you your formula w/ an eye dropper and it still wasn't staying down. So we took you to the ER. It was a very bad experience to say the least. By Sunday at about 3:30pm you finally stopped throwing up. I was so glad because I felt so bad for you. That was one of the worst days of my life...watching you so sick and not being able to do anything for you. For the rest of the week you were only sleeping 1 -2 hours at a time. Mommy started to be very unpleasant to be around. Just asked Daddy...he took the brunt of it! But now you are getting back to a regular schedule again. Thanks for always being such a good sleeper...I don't know if I could have done that for more than a week. ;)

Hunger Issues?!!

So last Thursday 2/28 we had to change your formula..you were having tummy issues. Poor little thing..it's been an ongoing struggle since you were born. I think we finally found a formula that you'll stick with. We changed you from GoodStart to Emfamil GentlEase. We think you have a sensitivity to milk and this formula is supposed to be good for that. Apparently mommy had a sensitivity to milk when she was a baby. So you do get SOMETHING from me! It's helping with your tummy, but now you seem sooo hungry all the time. Last night I finally brokedown and gave you some cereal in your bottle. You loved it. I mixed 4 oz of formula w/ a tablespoon of cereal and you drank it down in less than a minute. So I'm guessing you've been wondering what took me so long to give you the good stuff! Hopefully that won't start any tummy issues again. So it's a official you started Cereal on 03/06/2008.

You'd be amazed by the little things that get mommy all emotional. It seems like only yesterday that Daddy and I were in labor and delivery waiting for you to make your grand entrance. It was the best day of my life and I know it was the best day of Daddy's. He told me the other day that if anything ever happens to him to make sure you know that you were "His Whole World". Your a lucky little guy. You have so many wonderful people that love you. Okay well I'm done..see what you do to me...a little cereal and I'm a blubbering mess. I love you pumpkin and I thank God everyday for blessing Daddy and I with such a beautiful miracle.

On that note we've set up your Dedication at church for 04/13/2008. It's because of Jesus Christ that we have you and we want you to always know that. You are truly the most amazing gift we have ever received.
