March 25, 2007

Well this was a day to remember. We went over to Grandma S's today to discuss Easter(or so they thought). Daddy gave Grandma R her little bag of goodies and she cried and cried and cried(she even made daddy cry a little) and cried. We didn't know if she was happy or sad. Turns out she was VERY happy. After we told her, pappy D and Grandma S we all went to Cactus Willie's for lunch. Pappy D said Grandma R kept reading her little plaque the whole way to lunch. Than when we got to lunch she was so excited she could barely eat! Needless to say you are going to be so loved. Now we're just waiting for the ultrasound on Friday to find out if there is 1 or 2 of you!!

Well I think I talked your dad into telling your Granparents this weekend. I'm so impatient. Plus we told a couple people yesterday and really don't want them finding out from someone other than me and daddy! I really wanted to have your picture 1st(the ultrasound) but I guess that will have to be added to your Grandpas' picture frames later. I'll let you know how it goes............We went to a spaghetti dinner tonight at Conewago Elementary School(for your cousin Luke) and that's where we told your Grandma & Grandpa M. And the rest of the family. Everyone was very excited. Kaylynn is very happy that you are due on her birthday. Grandpa said that this was even better than the spaghetti dinner. We'll tell your Grandma R & Pappy D tomorrow.

Here's what we gave them:

March 23, 2007

Well this was the longest day of my life today. I had more bloodwork to confirm my numbers were going up. I was so nervous the only thing I ate all day was a krimpet tastykake and a couple pretzels. (Sorry Peanut, I hope you weren't too hungry) My symptoms had gone away so I thought for sure I was losing you. Finally at 2:30 Dr. Gnatuk called to say the numbers were well above what she had imagined. They went from 624 to over 4000. She was hoping for at least 2000. She said, she's not making any assumptions yet, but w/ those numbers she's thinking MAYBE multiples!! Your dad and I would be soo happy, but we'll be more than happy if there is only 1 of you!! I called your dad right away because he had been calling me all day to see how the numbers came out. I told him everything was alright and he said, "I knew it..I told you everything was going to be ok!" That's another thing your figure out....#1 me and cooking and #2 your dad thinks he knows it all! Which most the times he does....but every now and than he's wrong. ;-) He won't ever admit it, but it happens!! Well next thing is the ultrasound. It's scheduled for Next Friday at 8:00 am. I can't wait to see you(or both of you) for the 1st time. I love you so much!

I took another pregnancy test this morning. It was a two pack so I thought, "What the Heck!" Of course it said "pregnant"
I called Dr. Gnatuk's office today. They had me come in right away for my bloodwork. I ended up seeing Dr. Dodson, he's a really great doctor. I was nervous but had a really good feeling that everything was going to be ok. Sure enough the nurse Joni called me about 11:30 am. The numbers were really good. My HCG was 624 and my progesterone was 19.5. So it's confirmed...I'm pregnant and everything's ok.
I called your daddy to tell him and he was very happy. He even let me pick up KFC for supper so I didn't have to cook! (Woohoo, you'll find out cooking isn't one of mommy's strong points! ;))
I have another appointment on Friday.
As far as how I'm feeling...I've had a little morning sickness, but nothing that I can't handle. I love you so much already and your only 4 weeks and 2 days old!!!

So it's St. Patrick's Day Grandma Mummau's 49th(her secret's safe w/ me) Birthday! I went and got my hair done today and picked up a pregnancy test. I didn't wait for daddy to come home, because I was pretty sure there was no reason to. I bet I looked at that test 10 times. I thought for sure I read it wrong or something.
Daddy was over putting flooring in for Grandma Splain and I thought it was going to be forever til he got home. I was so excited, but I didn't want to tell anyone until your daddy knew. Not even the girls on BabyCenter! I took a white t-shirt and wrote "I'm going to be a big Brother" and put it on Maverick. Daddy came home about 3:30 and when he read it, he said "Are you serious?, cool!"
