June 7th, 2007

We had our 3rd follow-up appointment today. Dr. Repke said everything looks really good. Your heartbeat is about 150, which is ok. He said it's normal for it to fluctuate. Mommy only gained 1.7 lbs so far. Woohoo! I'm trying to really watch it so I don't put you or me at any risk. We scheduled the "big" ultrasound today. We are not finding out if you are a boy or girl though. Although Daddy said he wouldn't be totally upset if they let it slip. I guess I would be ok too, but I really would like to be surprised. The ultrasound is scheduled for July 5 & than we'll see Dr. Repke again right after the appointment.

Later that evening.....
Daddy & I were sitting in bed eating supper (spaghetti to be exact, that's my favorite) and I felt you move for the 1st time. It was so great. Daddy couldn't feel you, but you did a big flip or something. This was the 1st official time I felt you. Daddy thinks it might just be in my head, but I know it was you! ;)

Today we had a 40th birthday party for your Aunt Thecia. She actually turned 40 5/25, but we wanted to be sure & surprise her so we moved her party out a bit. We had a lot of fun. Grandpa M took a picture of me so we could see how you are making mommy's belly grow.

May 22nd, 2007

Today is the translucal testing. Mommy took off all day. Daddy worked again all night & than just came into the appointment. You are very lucky to have such a hard worker for a daddy. Jeanne was our ultrasound tech. She was soooo nice. We're hoping to get her for the next ultrasound. Which will probably be the last ultrasound. By my calculations you should be 13 weeks & 3 days today. Which means they could still do the test. They can only do this test if you are measuring under 14 weeks. Well sure enough you measured 14 weeks, so they couldn't do the test. Oh well, like I said before, we know your healthy so it's ok. We got some really great pics though.

May 10th, 2007

Today was just a routine 4 week follow up appointment. The most exciting part today was that we actually got to "hear" your heartbeat for the 1st time. It was the most amazing sound ever! And it was so fast. Dr. Repke said about 170 beats per minute. Which everyone keeps telling me is a girls heartbeat, but I don't believe all that. Daddy & I just want a healthy baby we don't care if your a boy or a girl. We'll love you all the same. We decided today to do a thing called translucal(sp?) testing. This is an ultrasound where they somehow counts the folds in your neck just to make sure everything is ok. It tells us if there is a chance of downs syndrome and some other genetic diseases. That is scheduled for May 22nd. We know though that everything is ok because you are in God's hands. We doing it more for the u/s so we can see you again! We can't get enough of you. We just love you soo much!

April 12th, 2007

We had another appointment today. We met our official OB doctor, Dr. Repke. Daddy & I really like him. He is really down to earth & very straight forward. We got to see you on ultrasound again, but we didn't get any pics. You were moving like crazy so Dr. Repke couldn't get any good pictures, plus the machine was out of printer paper. It was still really cool to see you again. I started laughing this time when I saw your little strobe-like heartbeat. Daddy was right up at the screen, he didn't want to miss anything.

April 10th, 2007

We had an appointment with the OB nurse today. That was our 1st official healthy pregnancy appointment! Your daddy is such a trooper he went into work at 10 pm last night just so he could come to the appointment. It was kind of a boring appointment just getting our history and everything. Well daddy was so tired he fell asleep. Poor guy. The nurse was giggling at him, but she understood. We will go back on Thursday to meet with the dr.

I'm getting a little backwards here because it's been so long since I've posted. Today we had your very first photo shoot! You did great! We got to see your heartbeat which was one of the most amazing things your daddy & I ever saw. It was going so fast it looked like a little strobe light on the u/s. I cried. I couldn't help it. I'm an emotional mess anyway, but seeing that just sent me over the edge. We are so happy that you are healthy.

Mommy has been doing a really bad job with keeping this up to date.

Well April 1st is when we told Grandpa Tim & Grandma Deb. We ask them to go out with us to TJ Rockwells. Grandma Deb figured it out before we even gave them their little present. She cried & than they both hugged us & told us congrats. They are very excited about your arrival. Although if you come on your due date they will be in Hawaii!! We'll have to go there some time.
